Stress is a basic a universal experience, but when there is no relief, it can swiftly turn into burnout. Dr. Greg Hammer, a pediatric intensive care physician, pediatric anesthesiologist, and professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, joins us this week to shed more light on this topic and explains the four steps you can take to mitigate stress and build personal resilience and happiness.

Dr. Hammer’s new book, GAIN without Pain: The Happiness Handbook for Health Care Professionals (May 15, 2020), offers insights on the current state of wellbeing among health care professionals and steps to prevent burnout. Connect with Greg at http://greghammermd.com
